What is PCI compliance?

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). represents a common set of industry tools and measurements to help ensure the safe handling of sensitive information.  All organisations or merchants,  regardless of size or number of transactions, that pass, hold or process cardholder information need to comply with these regulations. If any customer of an organisation makes a direct payment to the merchant by means of a credit card or debit card, then the PCI DSS standard apply.
